Reception Beckonscot

Reception had a wonderful day exploring Bekonscot Model Village! The children loved taking in all the miniature sights, from bustling circus scenes and local landmarks to iconic buildings that offered a fascinating look back at 1930s England. A highlight of the trip was seeing the famous model railway—and they even got to experience a ride on the real narrow-gauge railway!

Year 1 Willows Farm

Our Year 1 students recently enjoyed a wonderful day at the farm. The children had an absolute blast experiencing everything on offer, including tractor rides, lively sing-along shows, goat feeding, and even watching the sheep races. It was a truly joyful day, and there were smiles on everyone's faces!

Year 2 Cassiobury Park

Our Year 2 students had a wonderful time exploring Cassiobury Park! This term, our young artists have been focusing on life drawing, paying close attention to the delicate details of flowers. After experimenting with paint, pastels, and collage in the classroom, this trip offered them a fantastic hands-on opportunity to put their skills into practice and draw directly from nature.

Year 6

Our Year 6 pupils have worked incredibly hard this year preparing for their SATs, and we could not be prouder of their dedication, focus, and resilience.

Since finishing their assessments, they have enjoyed a thoroughly well-earned term of fun, celebration, and adventure. It has been an action-packed few weeks filled with unforgettable highlights, including:

Sun and Fun at Cassiobury Park: Making the most of the outdoors and enjoying well-deserved downtime.
A Fantastic Day of Cricket: Showcasing excellent teamwork, energy, and sportsmanship.
Thrills at Chessington World of Adventures: A spectacular day out that remains an absolute firm favorite!
The "Gross Busters" Production: A brilliant, show-stopping performance that brought laughs and enjoyment to everyone.
The PGL Residential: A truly fabulous trip filled with team-building, outdoor challenges, and lifelong bonding.

So many special memories have been made by our wonderful Year 6s this term. As they take their next steps and begin their secondary school journeys, they leave with unforgettable moments, lasting friendships, and a legacy they should be incredibly proud of.

The Evil Pea! - Reception

Our Reception children have had a wonderful time in Literacy exploring the book The Evil Pea! They have been fully immersed in themed activities and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Well done!

A huge well done to all of our superstar pupils who recently completed their Phonics Screening, SATs, and Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)! We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. 🌟

We are also absolutely thrilled with this year's academic outcomes at Ascot Road, having either met or exceeded national benchmarks across the board. This fantastic success is a true testament to the dedication of our wonderful staff, the hard work of our pupils, and the invaluable support of our parents and carers. We are certainly putting Ascot Road on the map!

International Day

A huge thank you to our wonderful PTA for organising another incredibly successful International Day! Our warmest thanks also go out to everyone in our school community who contributed such a fantastic array of delicious food and turned out to support the event. We are extremely proud of our diverse community and how beautifully we celebrate our different nationalities and cultures. At Ascot Road, we support and respect one another—and that is exactly what makes our school so special!

Consistent attendance is key to your child's success, both in the classroom and beyond. Each day spent in school is a chance to spark a new interest, master a skill, and build strong friendships. We know that missing even a few days can make it harder to keep up, so let's work together to make sure every pupil is here and ready to learn. Your support in prioritising school attendance makes a world of difference!

No Mobile Phones

Please can we draw your attention to the school grounds having a no phones policy. We kindly ask you to put your phones away once you enter the school grounds.

This is to ensure child safety, safeguarding and to promote quality interaction with your children and those around you at pick up and drop off times.

Lost Property

A reminder that lost property is located at the front of school by the wall next to the school office. Any unnamed items will be placed in the box.

At the end of each half term, any unclaimed items will be disposed of.

Please ensure you label all of your children's items. Please refrain from sending your child in with toys/unnecessary belongings.

The school accepts no responsibility or liability for the loss or damage of pupils personal property and belongings.

Goodbye Alina!

A huge thank you and a fond farewell to Alina, who is stepping down from the PTA this summer. During her time as Chair, Alina has led with incredible dedication, always keeping our children at the heart of every single decision. She and her team have raised thousands of pounds over the last few years, and we are forever grateful to Alina and the entire, brilliant PTA team for their hard work.

Looking ahead, we are still searching for someone to lead the PTA next year. Our PTA is absolutely vital to the school; without it, we simply cannot run the wonderful events that bring our community together and raise essential funds for the children at Ascot Road.
