Dear Parents and Carers,
I can't believe we are at the end of the first half term.
There have been so many highlights..... It has been wonderful to watch our school environment changing, from the little touches outside on the school grounds to the display boards and learning environments inside the school.
We have been promoting the value of 'Respect' this term and it is great to see children displaying these values throughout the school.
The PTA have been working very hard this term, coming up with wonderful ideas to support the school. We can't wait for the Spooky Disco in the first week back, so don't miss out on purchasing your ticket.
We hope you all have a lovely, restful half-term and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday 30th October.

Reception
Reception have had a fantastic term learning!
We had visits from police and from firefighters, and we got to explore all about their jobs. We have learnt what number we need to call if we need the emergency services, and we understand how we can keep safe in society.
Year 1
In Year 1 we have been learning about 'Everyday Materials' as part of our science project. We have explored natural and human made materials and identified their properties.
Year 2
Year 2 really enjoyed their trip to Bhaktivedanta Manor. We learned lots about the history of the religion and the temple, and enjoyed some delicious food!
Year 3
The highlight of the month was the Year 3 Through the Ages Workshop. Students had the opportunity to participate and explore prehistoric life. Fossils, ancient weapons and masks were used to engage learners. It was a fantastic day that was enjoyed immensely by all.
Year 4
In year 4 we have been acting out the play script " Thor & the giants" to enable the children to get into character and apply their knowledge of how speech marks are used within writing.
Year 5
Well done to our Year 5 Student Seb for winning the Poetry competition.
Year 6
Year 6's science lessons have been investigating light and how shadows are formed. We have made our own shadow puppets to test the different components needed to make a shadow and how we can change a shadow's shape and size.
